Petit Verdot

These are some of the properties and characteristics of Petit Verdot:

  • These grapes ripen late and are mostly used for blending. Doesn’t have any specific problems and is particularly resistant to rot like the Cabernet Sauvignon variety. The leaves have five lobes that are shiny dark green, and the lobes normally overlap. The berries are medium sized and very dark in colour. The bunches are branched.
