Gin Gelly Shots

A classic party cocktail that’s easy to whip up and can be made in any flavour of jelly you love most! Be sure to make a lot, they go fast!

We’re not making them from scratch with unflavoured gelatine. We’re using the store bought mix to make these.

No matter how old you are, everyone loves them, and the colours make them extra fun. So clear out some space in your fridge and let’s get started!

1 box Jelly mix

1 cup water boiling

cup gin

1. Layout plastic cups on a baking sheet. Set aside.

2. Place jelly mix in a mixing bowl. Pour in boiling water and whisk until jelly is completely dissolved. Pour in gin. Whisk to combine.

3. Pour the mixture into each plastic cup, filling until almost full.

4. Refrigerate the shots for 2-3 hours or until set. Put lids on cups (if you have) and store in the fridge until ready to serve.

You’ll get about 10 servings per box of jelly so you may want to grab more than one. Have fun with your colours and flavours and mix things up if you are feeling adventurous!

You should eat your shots within a week. Two weeks at the absolute most!

And here’s where it gets fun. Don’t limit yourself to salt and sugar! You can rim glasses with anything powdered. The possibilities are pretty much endless. Your only inhibition is making sure the flavouring of the rim goes well with the flavour of the cocktail.
