Saxenburg Wine Estate, situated in the Polkadraai Hills of Stellenbosch, benefits from a unique combination of decomposed granite soils and cooling maritime influences from False Bay. These conditions are particularly well suited to Syrah, allowing for slow, even ripening and the development of both fruit intensity and natural freshness.

This Syrah is crafted with a balance of New World fruit expression and a more restrained, Old-World sensibility. Careful vineyard selection, moderate extraction, and maturation in French oak contribute to a wine that emphasises texture, spice, and varietal clarity rather than overt weight.
