Piaff Brut Rose Champagne NV
Champagne
Description
Champagne Piaff is a relatively new name in Champagne, based near Épernay in the heart of the region, yet it draws on generations of winemaking heritage. The vineyards lie predominantly in the Vallée de la Marne, where clay and limestone soils, combined with a cool continental climate, help preserve acidity and build structure in the wines.
What sets Piaff apart is its modern interpretation of Champagne - blending traditional methods with a more expressive, contemporary style. The Brut Rosé NV reflects this approach, combining classic Champagne varieties with a slightly more characterful, savoury edge than the typical fruit-forward rosé, offering both familiarity and intrigue.
Colour:
Soft blush pink with a lively, persistent mousse.
Nose:
Red berries lead - strawberry and cranberry - layered with subtle notes of cassis, bruised apple and a faint earthy, mushroom-like complexity.
Palate:
Medium-bodied with a fine, creamy mousse. Bright citrus acidity carries flavours of red berries and apple, while underlying savoury and lightly nutty notes add depth. There’s a slightly oxidative character that gives the wine a more layered, food-friendly profile.
Finish:
Dry and lingering, with a mix of red fruit, citrus zest and a gentle, savoury persistence.

Piaff Brut Rose Champagne NV
- Food Pairing : Piaff Brut Rosé Champagne NV works particularly well with food thanks to its balance of freshness and subtle savoury complexity. It pairs beautifully with oysters, prawns or seared tuna, where the acidity lifts the richness of the seafood. It also complements charcuterie and soft cheeses, echoing the wine’s slightly nutty, developed notes. For something more substantial, try it with roast chicken or salmon — the structure of the wine holds its own without overwhelming the dish, making it a versatile option for both light starters and more generous plates.
