Nitida Semillon 2025

Unit : 750ml Bottle

Semillon

Description

Nitida Wine Estate is a family-owned producer in the Durbanville Wine Valley, just outside Cape Town. The region is known for cooling Atlantic influences and elevated vineyard sites, creating slower ripening conditions that preserve freshness, aromatics and natural balance. Nitida has long earned respect for its hands-on philosophy, careful small-batch winemaking and wines that reflect site rather than fashion. For this Semillon, grapes are harvested over several pickings, with a portion fermented in barrel and the balance in stainless steel, then matured on lees to build texture while retaining brightness.

Colour:
Bright pale gold with a youthful green tint.

Nose:
White peach, fig skin and yellow hay aromas lead, followed by hints of honeycomb, toasted nuts and gentle citrus peel.

Palate:
Medium-bodied with a smooth, layered texture. Stone fruit and ripe citrus flavours sit at the core, supported by subtle lees richness and a fresh line of acidity. Notes of macadamia and light caramel add depth without heaviness.

Finish:
Clean and lingering, with soft orchard fruit, nutty complexity and a fresh citrus lift.

  • Food Pairing : Nitida Semillon 2025 pairs beautifully with creamy chicken dishes, grilled line fish, fresh pasta with mushrooms or pork sausages with mustard mash. The wine’s textured palate handles richer foods well, while its acidity keeps each pairing lively and balanced. It also works nicely with mature hard cheeses, where the nutty notes in the wine complement savoury flavours.
