Karo XO Potstill Brandy is a South African spirit that brings together traditional distillation and extended oak maturation. Produced by Kinship Spirits and blended under the guidance of master distiller Kobus Gelderblom, this 13-year-old expression is double-distilled in copper pot stills before spending years maturing in French oak barrels. The name evokes the rugged landscapes of the Karoo, where South Africa's dry interior and distinctive natural surroundings provide an evocative backdrop for the brand's identity. Rather than being an estate wine, Karo XO is a carefully matured grape spirit, with its character shaped by distillation, time in oak and the final blending process. Presented in a gift box, it makes a considered choice for a birthday, anniversary, Father's Day or a special occasion for someone who appreciates traditionally made South African brandy.
Colour: Deep golden amber with warm copper tones, reflecting its extended maturation in oak.
Nose: Aromas of dried peach and apricot lead, accompanied by vanilla, caramel and subtle smoky notes. Hints of delicate herbs add an intriguing savoury dimension.
