Jordan Wine Estate, situated on the slopes of Stellenbosch Kloof, has built its reputation on matching the right grape variety to the right site. Owned by Gary and Kathy Jordan, the estate benefits from a range of elevations, aspects and ancient granite-derived soils, with cooling influences from both False Bay and the Atlantic Ocean helping to preserve freshness and natural acidity in the grapes. The Jordan Blanc de Blancs Cap Classique 2022 reflects the estate's commitment to precision and balance. Produced exclusively from Chardonnay and crafted in the traditional Cap Classique method, it combines vibrant fruit purity with the complexity that develops through extended lees ageing. The result is a sparkling wine that is refined, energetic and distinctly Stellenbosch in character.
Colour: Bright green-gold with a persistent stream of fine bubbles and an elegant mousse.
Nose: Fresh green apple, lemon zest and citrus blossom aromas lead the bouquet, followed by hints of brioche, freshly baked pastry and subtle mineral notes.
Palate: Crisp and vibrant on entry, with flavours of green apple, citrus and white peach supported by a creamy texture and fine bead. The Chardonnay fruit is precise and focused, while the extended lees contact adds depth and a gentle savoury complexity. Bright acidity keeps the wine lively and refreshing throughout.
Finish: Long, clean and refreshing, with lingering citrus notes and a delicate biscuit-like character.
