Guardian Peak is named after the towering peak on Stellenbosch Mountain. It was founded in 1998 by Jean Engelbrecht, who combined his knowledge of international wine markets with his experience at his family wine estate in Stellenbosch to create a range of everyday-drinking, fresh and approachable wines. The Guardian Peak Shiraz / Syrah 2023 displays a pronounced nose of ripe plum and juicy black currant with some spicy notes of cinnamon, cloves and a hint of black pepper. Bold fruit on the palate complemented by plush tannins. Red and black cherries with white pepper and juicy plum on the finish.
