Guardian Peak is named after the towering peak on Stellenbosch Mountain. It was founded in 1998 by Jean Engelbrecht, who combined his knowledge of international wine markets with his experience at his family wine estate in Stellenbosch to create a range of everyday-drinking, fresh and approachable wines. The Guardian Peak Merlot 2023 is a balanced, medium-bodied Merlot offering aromas of mulberry, plum, and toast. On the palate, soft tannins enhance juicy fruit flavours of cherries and plums, accented by notes of sage and liquorice.
