Glen Scotia Distillery is one of the few remaining producers in Campbeltown, a historic whisky region on Scotland’s west coast once known as the whisky capital of the world. Established in 1832, the distillery continues to produce small quantities of whisky that reflect the maritime influence and traditional style of the region.
The Glen Scotia Double Cask PX Finish begins its maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels, where it develops notes of vanilla, fruit and gentle spice. It is then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which contribute layers of sweetness, dried fruit and richness. Bottled at 46% ABV, the whisky captures Glen Scotia’s characteristic coastal style while adding depth from the PX cask finish.

Nose:
Inviting aromas of dried figs, raisins and caramelised sugar lead the bouquet. Hints of vanilla, cinnamon and subtle sea air add complexity.

Full and rounded with flavours of toffee, dark honey and dried fruit. The PX cask influence brings notes of raisins and dates, while the bourbon cask maturation contributes vanilla and soft oak spice. A subtle maritime character adds balance.
