Eagles Nest is a boutique estate perched on the slopes of Constantia Nek in the Constantia Valley, one of South Africa’s most historic wine regions where cool ocean breezes, elevation and decomposed granite soils lend finesse and clarity to white varieties like Viognier. The Reserve Viognier is crafted to balance expressive fruit with refreshing acidity, using gentle wood influence and thoughtful cellar practices to enhance texture without masking varietal character. Under the stewardship of winemaker Craig Barnard, this wine reflects both the unique terroir of Constantia and a modern approach to Viognier that favours purity of fruit and elegant structure.
Colour: Light golden straw with subtle green highlights, clear and bright in the glass.
Nose: Enticing aromas of fresh, ripe yellow stone fruit such as peach and apricot, lifted by citrus notes of lemon and lime, with delicate floral hints and spice developing as the wine opens in the glass.
