De Meye Wines is a family-owned farm in Muldersvlei on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, where the grapes are grown, vinified and bottled on the estate. De Meye favours minimal-intervention winemaking, allowing fruit purity and site expression to shape the final style. The Rose 2025 is crafted from Syrah, giving the wine extra texture and flavour depth while retaining the bright refreshment expected of a Cape rose. Colour: Pale salmon pink with brilliant clarity and a delicate copper hue. Nose: Fresh aromas of strawberry, raspberry and red cherry rise first, followed by floral hints and a subtle touch of rose petal. Palate: Vibrant and fruit-driven, with flavours of ripe strawberry, watermelon and soft red berries supported by lively acidity. The texture is smooth and rounded rather than sharp, making it both refreshing and generous in style. Finish: Clean and lingering, with bright cherry notes and delicate floral freshness on the close.
