Bishops Merlot 2022
De Grendel Wine Estate is one of South Africa’s leading premium wine producers, situated on the historic slopes of the Tygerberg overlooking Cape Town and Table Mountain. Influenced by cool Atlantic breezes, the estate crafts wines celebrated for their elegance, balance and authentic expression of place.
Today, De Grendel continues the Graaff family’s legacy of excellence, combining generations of winemaking expertise with a commitment to sustainable farming and the production of wines of exceptional quality.
The Merlot 2022 reflects De Grendel's longstanding dedication to one of its signature red varieties. Sourced from carefully managed vineyards and matured in French oak, it is a wine that combines richness with elegance.
Aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and dark berries are layered with hints of spice and mocha. Silky tannins and a refined finish make it a natural companion to roasted meats, hearty pasta dishes and mature cheeses, inviting long lunches, shared dinners and meaningful moments around the table.
