The Simonsig Merindol Syrah / Shiraz 2020 is oak-matured from a selected single vineyard site, paying homage to the ancestral home of the Malan family. The nose offers the scent of spiced red cherries that intertwine seamlessly with the delicate sweetness of raspberry cordial. These vibrant fruit notes are further elevated with a whisper of violets. The palate is graced with a harmonious balance between red cherry and luscious blackberry. This fruit-forward profile is deepened by the presence of liquorice, adding a subtle yet distinct element.
