The Heatherleigh NV is a distinctive dessert wine, crafted using partially raisined grapes dried naturally on the vine to concentrate flavour without relying on botrytis. A solera-style system and extended ageing in older oak barrels bring layers of maturity while retaining vibrancy. This measured, almost restrained approach to sweetness reflects Waterford’s philosophy - favouring detail, drinkability, and precision over richness alone.

Nose:
Perfumed apricot and candied citrus lead, followed by muscat-driven florals and subtle vanilla. There’s a gentle oxidative note adding complexity without heaviness.
Palate:
Medium-bodied and smooth, with concentrated dried fruit - apricot, peach and citrus peel - balanced by a surprisingly lifted acidity. The sweetness is evident but controlled, giving a refined rather than opulent feel.
Finish:
Lingering and clean, with dried fruit and a faint nutty note, finishing drier than expected for a dessert wine.
