Smokehead is an Islay single malt whisky brand known for its bold, unapologetically smoky style. Produced from a distillery on the island of Islay and bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers, the whisky is intentionally presented without emphasising the exact distillery source, allowing the focus to remain on the distinctive character of the spirit.
The Smokehead 15-Year-Old expression brings a more mature dimension to the brand’s intensely peated style. Extended ageing in oak casks softens the edges of the peat while developing deeper layers of sweetness, spice and maritime character. The result is a whisky that retains the signature smoke of Islay but with greater balance and complexity gained from time in cask.

Deep golden amber with warm copper tones.
Nose:
Powerful aromas of bonfire smoke and sea spray lead the bouquet, followed by notes of toasted oak, vanilla and caramelised sugar. Hints of citrus peel and subtle spice add lift.
Palate:
Full-bodied and intense, with waves of peat smoke layered over flavours of toffee, malt sweetness and roasted nuts. The texture is rich and warming, while maritime salinity and gentle spice add complexity.
Finish:
Long and smoky, leaving lingering notes of peat, sea salt, dark caramel and oak spice.
