Penderyn is a Welsh whisky distillery and brand, producing the first commercially available whisky made in Wales since the 19th century. Produced at the Penderyn Distillery, Penderyn is a single malt whisky produced in several expressions, e.g. Madeira Finish, Peated, Sherrywood and Portwood. The Penderyn Portwood is a firm favourite among customers in France and is a full-bodied whisky. On the nose, aromas of rich dried fruits with dark chocolate and cranberries abound and a hint of toasty oak mingles with a baked nutty dryness. There is a creamy richness to the palate, with some honey and spiced notes emerging. The finish is smooth with a soft oak and honey sweetness lingering gently on the tongue.
