Growing fine wines on the Meerlust Estate has been part of the Myburgh family tradition for 8 generations, beginning in 1756. Long recognized for producing world-class wines, the Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch is rich in both charm and history. The wines are all made from grapes grown on the estate and matured in French oak. The Meerlust Merlot 2022 displays typical Merlot characteristics on the nose with ripe plum and dark cherry notes underpinned by some dried herbs and oak spice. The palate is generous, while still delicate on the finish, showing complex cherry tobacco flavours coupled with a fine acidity.
