Avante Cape Brandy is a modern South African brandy born from a collaboration between master distillers and 15 international rugby icons led by World Cup captain John Smit, blending passion with craftsmanship to showcase Cape Potstill Brandy’s potential on the world stage. The VSOP expression is matured in French oak barrels, which smooths and enriches the spirit, allowing a depth of flavour and texture to develop while reflecting traditional distillation and maturation practices from the Cape Brandy heartland.
Appearance: Warm golden-amber hue typical of well-aged potstill brandy.
Nose: A welcoming bouquet of dried fruit (apricot, raisin) and citrus peel unfolds with vanilla and toasted oak, complemented by gentle spice and caramel nuances from extended barrel ageing.
