Allée Bleue Sauvignon Blanc 2024
Sauvignon Blanc
Description
Located in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley, Allée Bleue Estate is one of the region’s most recognisable vineyards, where historic Cape heritage meets modern winemaking precision. The estate’s vineyards sit on the valley floor and lower mountain slopes, benefiting from cooling afternoon breezes that sweep down from the surrounding mountains. These conditions help preserve the freshness and aromatic purity that Sauvignon Blanc thrives on.
Originally part of the historic L’Ormarins estate dating back to the late 17th century, Allée Bleue has evolved into a contemporary Franschhoek producer known for bright, expressive wines that reflect the valley’s diverse soils and Mediterranean climate. Careful vineyard management and gentle cellar handling aim to capture varietal clarity while maintaining a clean, balanced style that speaks clearly of place.
Colour:
Pale straw with green flashes, bright and clear in the glass.
Nose:
Lifted aromas of lime zest, green apple and gooseberry lead the bouquet, followed by hints of passionfruit, freshly cut grass and a subtle mineral edge.
Palate:
The palate is crisp and lively, with flavours of grapefruit, tropical fruit and green melon supported by refreshing acidity. The wine has a light-to-medium body with a clean, linear structure that keeps the fruit precise rather than overtly ripe.
Finish:
Fresh and zesty, finishing with lingering citrus peel and a gentle herbal note.

Allée Bleue Sauvignon Blanc 2024
- Food Pairing : The bright acidity and citrus-driven profile of Allée Bleue Sauvignon Blanc 2024 make it a natural partner for fresh, flavourful dishes. It pairs well with grilled line fish with lemon butter, West Coast mussels in a light white wine broth, or a classic goat’s cheese salad where the wine’s acidity cuts through the creaminess. The wine also works beautifully with herb-forward dishes such as basil pesto pasta or Thai green curry, where its freshness balances aromatic spices and richer textures.
