De Wetshof Estate, situated in the Robertson Valley, has played a defining role in the development of premium white wine in South Africa. The family-owned estate is particularly recognised for its meticulous vineyard management and site-specific approach, with decades of detailed vineyard records helping guide planting, irrigation and winemaking decisions.
The Robertson Valley’s limestone-rich soils, combined with warm sunny days and cooling afternoon breezes, allow Sauvignon Blanc to ripen fully while retaining freshness and mineral detail. For the 2025 vintage, the grapes were harvested in the cool early mornings to preserve aromatic intensity and natural acidity. Fermentation took place under controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, followed by time on fine lees to add texture and complexity without compromising the wine’s crisp, fruit-driven style.

Fresh aromas of tropical fruit, gooseberry and ripe fig lead the nose, followed by hints of citrus peel, green herbs and subtle minerality.
Palate:
Soft and approachable in texture, with flavours of passionfruit, green fig and citrus layered over fresh acidity. The palate carries more ripeness than overt green character, while fine lees contact adds gentle roundness and depth. The mineral edge keeps the wine focused and refreshing throughout.
Finish:
Clean and crisp, with lingering tropical fruit, citrus and a lightly saline mineral note.
