Allée Bleue Estate lies on the slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains, where warm valley days are tempered by cooling afternoon breezes flowing through the valley. Originally established in the late 17th century, the estate combines historic Cape heritage with a modern, quality-focused winemaking approach.
The Blanc de Blanc 2022 is produced exclusively from Chardonnay, following the traditional method associated with fine sparkling wine production. The grapes are harvested early to preserve acidity and freshness, creating the backbone needed for balance and ageing potential. Extended lees contact adds texture and complexity while maintaining the wine’s bright, citrus-driven style.
The result is a sparkling wine that reflects both Franschhoek’s elegance and the estate’s focus on refinement - layered enough for serious sparkling wine drinkers, yet approachable and versatile at the table.
Colour:
Pale gold with a fine, persistent mousse.
Nose:
Fresh lemon zest, green apple and white peach aromas are layered with hints of brioche, toasted almond and delicate floral notes.
Palate:
Crisp and finely textured, with lively acidity carrying flavours of citrus, pear and stone fruit across the palate. Lees ageing contributes subtle creaminess and biscuit-like complexity without overwhelming the freshness of the fruit.
Finish:
Clean, dry and refreshing, with lingering citrus and lightly toasted notes.
