Terra Del Capo originates from the vineyards of Anthonij Rupert Wyne, a pioneering South African producer with a longstanding affinity for Italian grape varieties. The name Terra Del Capo (literally “land of the Cape”) reflects this vision: to express classic Italian varietals like Pinot Grigio in the distinctive terroir of the Western Cape.
For the 2025 vintage, fruit is sourced from several cool-climate wards across the Western Cape, each contributing vibrancy and textural nuance to the blend. After hand-picking in the early morning and gentle whole-bunch pressing, the juice is cold-fermented and kept on fine lees in stainless steel to preserve lively aromatics and crisp acidity. The result is a wine that wears its origins lightly - approachable, bright and fruit-driven without unnecessary embellishment.
Colour: Pale straw with a glint of green; fresh and inviting in the glass.
Nose: Aromas of white peach, nectarine and melon are complemented by subtle citrus zest and a hint of flint-like minerality.
Palate: Light-bodied and crisp, the palate delivers succulent stone fruit and green apple flavours with an energetic citrus drive. Acidity is bright but balanced, carrying soft textural weight from lees contact without sweetness.
