Produced by Lomond Wine Estate, Rockpool Chenin Blanc reflects the winery's commitment to crafting characterful wines from exceptional vineyard sites. While Lomond is best known for its cool-climate Cape Agulhas vineyards, the Rockpool Chenin Blanc is sourced from carefully selected old bush-vine Chenin vineyards in Stellenbosch, where mature vines, shale-rich soils and cooling maritime influences create fruit with both concentration and freshness. The wine is partially matured in Eastern European white oak, a hallmark of the Rockpool range that adds texture and complexity while allowing the vineyard character and purity of Chenin Blanc to remain at the forefront.

Nose:Â Aromatic layers of ripe peach, yellow apple and nectarine are complemented by citrus blossom, honeyed notes and subtle hints of vanilla spice from oak maturation.
Palate:Â Full-bodied yet energetic, with flavours of stone fruit, baked apple and citrus preserved by vibrant acidity. The old-vine fruit brings depth and concentration, while careful oak handling contributes a creamy texture and gentle complexity without dominating the fruit.
Finish:Â Long and savoury, with lingering stone fruit, citrus zest and a subtle nutty note that adds interest and length.
