Deetlefs Wine Estate is one of South Africa’s oldest family-owned wine farms, established in 1822 in Rawsonville within the Breedekloof valley. Surrounded by mountains, the region benefits from warm sunny days and cool evening temperatures that help grapes ripen fully while retaining freshness and natural balance.

The Chenin Blanc 2025 reflects this philosophy, using carefully selected fruit and restrained oak maturation to add texture while preserving bright varietal character. Colour:
Medium straw yellow with bright clarity and youthful shine.
Nose:
Quince, white peach and ripe nectarine lead the aromatics, followed by citrus blossom and a gentle hint of apricot.
Palate:
Fresh and rounded, with flavours of orchard fruit, peach and citrus carried by lively acidity. A broad mid-palate shows subtle spice and lees texture, while a light oak touch adds softness without dominating the fruit.
Finish:
Clean and gently textured, finishing with ripe fruit, citrus peel and growing complexity.
