Ghost in the Machine Chardonnay 2024 is sourced from Elgin, one of South Africa’s coolest premium growing regions. Elgin’s elevated vineyards and maritime influence help Chardonnay ripen slowly, preserving acidity and aromatic detail while building flavour concentration. The wine is made in a rich, oak-influenced style that balances indulgent texture with freshness.
Colour:
Bright golden straw with clear brilliance and a youthful sheen.
Nose:
Generous aromas of toffee, vanilla and caramel lead the nose, followed by butterscotch, roasted almond and a touch of citrus zest.
Palate:
Medium- to full-bodied and creamy, with flavours of baked apple, vanilla oak, caramelised citrus and toasted nuts. The texture is rounded and smooth, while fresh acidity keeps the richness in check.
Finish:
Lingering and polished, finishing with citrus lime brightness and a gentle nutty note.
