Cavalli Wine Estate is situated in the Helderberg ward of Stellenbosch, an area often referred to as the “Golden Triangle” for the consistent quality of its wines. With vineyards influenced by cooling False Bay breezes and planted on well-drained koffieklip soils, the estate produces wines that balance richness with freshness and structure.
The Cavalli Chardonnay 2024 reflects a modern Stellenbosch Chardonnay style that favours elegance over excess. Grapes were harvested over multiple early morning pickings to preserve freshness and capture subtle differences in vineyard expression. Whole-bunch pressing was followed by fermentation in French oak barrels, with partial malolactic fermentation and extended lees ageing adding texture and complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
The result is a Chardonnay that feels polished and layered, while still retaining the bright acidity and mineral detail expected from cooler Helderberg sites.

Bright pale gold with youthful clarity.
Nose:
Lifted aromas of lime blossom, white peach and nectarine lead the nose, followed by notes of grapefruit, flint, brioche and gentle wood spice.
Palate:
Medium-bodied with vibrant acidity and a finely textured palate. Citrus and stone fruit flavours are layered with subtle vanilla, toasted nuts and a delicate buttery note from partial malolactic fermentation. Oak integration remains restrained, supporting freshness rather than dominating the wine.
Finish:
Long, clean and mineral, with lingering citrus zest, brioche and soft spice.
