Allée Bleue Estate lies at the foot of the Franschhoek mountains, where a mix of valley warmth and cooling breezes creates favourable conditions for balanced ripening. The estate draws fruit from carefully selected vineyard sites, including newly acquired Chardonnay blocks, allowing for consistent quality and freshness in the wines.
The Blue Owl range reflects the estate’s more approachable side - wines made to be enjoyed without overthinking yet crafted with the same attention to detail seen across the portfolio. This unwooded Chardonnay is gently handled in the cellar, with whole bunch pressing and a short period on lees to build texture while keeping the fruit clean and expressive.
The result is a style that sits comfortably between New World fruit purity and a more restrained, European sense of balance.

Pale straw with a bright, youthful sheen.
Nose:
Fresh citrus and green melon lead, followed by apricot and a light stone fruit sweetness, with a subtle hint of lees-derived softness.
Palate:
Smooth and gently rounded, showing flavours of ripe pear, melon and apricot. The absence of oak keeps the wine clean and focused, while a touch of lees ageing adds a soft, almost creamy texture without heaviness.
