Glengoyne Distillery’s spirit comes from Dumgoyne, perched at the Highland Line where the lowland warehouses and highland copper stills meet. This unique position - and the distillery’s commitment to slow distillation - encourages delicate ester development and a naturally fruity profile unfettered by peat smoke. The 15-year expression is matured carefully across a mix of first-fill bourbon, first-fill sherry and refill casks to create a harmonious balance between bright orchard fruit, sweet spice and gentle oak influence. Its signature style reflects Glengoyne’s blend of tradition and subtle craft, marrying elegance with measured maturity.
Appearance: Light amber with warm golden hues that suggest gentle interaction with oak over 15 years.
Nose: Fresh hay and malt flour open first, followed by dried fruit, citrus peel and rosehip, with subtle honeyed sweetness and gentle spice on the periphery.
Palate: Clean and approachable, the palate shows gentle sweetness with hints of tropical fruit, candied lemon, vanilla and cinnamon. Orchard fruit elements evolve into deeper ripe-apple and subtle buttery notes, with light oak spice framed by smooth malt character.
Finish: A dry, smooth finish with lingering oak, gentle spice and a touch of citrus warmth - a reflection of balanced maturation that doesn’t overpower.
