Set on the south-western slopes of Paarl Mountain, Landskroon has a winemaking history stretching back more than 150 years, with five generations of the De Villiers family contributing to the estate's development. The warm Paarl climate provides favourable conditions for aromatic varieties such as Muscat, helping to build the ripe fruit and floral character associated with the grape. The Landskroon Moscato NV forms part of the estate's current wine range and offers a more playful, fruit-focused expression than Landskroon's dry white wines. Moscato is naturally aromatic, and the style is centred on fresh, fragrant fruit rather than oak or extended ageing. It is a wine intended to be enjoyed for its youthful, lively character, making it particularly suited to relaxed occasions and lighter food. The wine also sits within an interesting new chapter for the estate. In 2025, Van Loveren Family Vineyards acquired the Landskroon wine brand and operational cellar, bringing the historic Paarl property into another long-established South African family wine business while retaining the Landskroon name and heritage.

Nose: Highly aromatic, with ripe peach, white grape and tropical fruit aromas accompanied by the unmistakable floral and fragrant character of Muscat. Subtle hints of citrus and fresh grape add brightness.
Palate: Fresh, fruity and gently sweet, with flavours of ripe peach, juicy white grapes and hints of tropical fruit. The palate is soft and approachable, with refreshing acidity providing lift and preventing the sweetness from feeling heavy.
Finish: Fresh and fragrant, with lingering peach, grape and floral notes and a clean, lightly sweet finish.

Try it with fresh fruit salad, Thai or Indian dishes with a touch of heat, sushi, soft cheeses or a simple dessert such as pavlova and fresh berries.
