Zandvliet Muscat 2025

Unit : 750ml Bottle

Muscat

Description

Zandvliet Wine Estate is a historic producer on the outskirts of the Robertson Valley, a region known for warm days, cool nights and limestone-rich soils that give particular character to both red and white styles. Their Muscat is made from Muscat de Frontignan grapes, which are cold soaked on skins to extract intense aromatics before gentle pressing and a stopped fermentation that retains natural sweetness. The result is a fragrant, dessert-oriented wine that blends varietal Muscat richness with delicate floral and spice complexity on a fresh, balanced palate.

Colour: Pale straw-gold with a bright, luminous appearance in the glass.

Nose: Intense aromatics of ripe apricot and orange peel, lifted by rose petal and floral nuances with a hint of spice that adds intrigue.

Palate: Smooth and richly sweet, the fruit flavours of apricot and citrus continue, complemented by soft floral tones and a rounded mouthfeel. The sweetness is balanced by fresh acidity that keeps the wine lively rather than cloying.

Finish: Lingering and elegant, with fruit and floral notes that ease gently from the palate.

  • Food Pairing : Zandvliet Muscat 2025 is ideally matched with citrus- and fruit-forward desserts such as gooseberry and saffron crème brûlée, fruit tarts or peach cobbler, where its apricot and orange peel character harmonises beautifully with sweetness and spice. It also complements rich foie gras or creamy custards, and works wonderfully as a chilled after-dinner treat that bridges the gap between wine and dessert.
