Cape Saint Blaize Distillery takes its name from the historic Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse overlooking the rugged coastline of Mossel Bay in the Southern Cape. The distillery draws inspiration from the dramatic meeting point of ocean, fynbos and salt-laden sea air that defines the region, creating spirits that reflect a distinctly coastal South African identity.

The Oceanic Gin is built around a classic juniper core but incorporates carefully selected indigenous botanicals and marine-inspired elements that give the spirit its fresh, saline character. Botanicals are distilled in small batches to preserve aromatic precision and clarity, with the emphasis placed on balance rather than overpowering intensity.

The result is a contemporary South African gin that leans toward freshness, minerality and layered botanical detail, making it particularly suited to lighter tonic styles and Mediterranean-inspired serves.

Nose:
Fresh juniper aromas lead the nose, followed by notes of lemon peel, naartjie, wild herbs and subtle coastal salinity. Hints of fynbos and soft spice add depth without overwhelming the freshness.

Clean and vibrant with a crisp juniper backbone supported by bright citrus and layered herbal botanicals. The texture is smooth and refreshing, while a subtle mineral edge gives the gin a distinctly oceanic character. The style remains elegant and focused rather than heavily spiced or overly floral.
