Blaauwklippen is one of the oldest wine estates in South Africa, rooted on the eastern slopes of the Stellenbosch Mountain in the cool gravel-and-granite soils of the Western Cape. First established in 1682, the farm blends time-honoured heritage with modern winemaking rigour, and was among the pioneers of Zinfandel in South Africa when it planted the variety in the 1970s. Today, Blaauwklippenâs philosophy is grounded in expressing terroir and varietal character with clarity, minimal intervention in the cellar, and a respect for balance and freshness in every bottle. The estateâs vineyards planted on medium-potential Tukulu and Kroonstad soils give wines a signature energetic purity and structural poise that speaks of their Stellenbosch origins.

Colour: Pale salmon-pink with an inviting, fine bead that catches the light.
Nose: Lifted aromas of fresh rose petals and orange blossom are supported by tangy citrus and red fruit scents, including strawberries and cranberries.

Palate: The palate is crisp and dry, showing bright red fruit flavours with hints of nectarine and lemon. The mousse is fine and creamy, layered with subtle mineral and brioche notes from extended lees ageing.
