Penderyn Maderia
Penderyn is a Welsh whisky distillery and brand, producing the first commercially available whisky made in Wales since the 19th century. Produced at the Penderyn Distillery, Penderyn is a single malt whisky produced in several expressions, for example Madeira Finish, Peated, Sherrywood and Portwood. The Penderyn Maderia is the original Penderyn ‘house style’, aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Madeira wine casks to bring out its full gold character. On the nose, there is a classic freshness with aromas of cream toffee, rich fruit and raisins. The palate is crisp and finely rounded, with the sweetness to balance an appetising dryness. Notes of tropical fruit, raisins and vanilla persist on the finish.
