This combination, along with clay-rich and decomposed granite soils, creates ideal conditions for structured red varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Signature range represents the estate's flagship expression - a classic Bordeaux-style blend crafted with a focus on structure, longevity, and layered complexity. Each varietal component is vinified separately and matured in French oak before final blending, allowing for precision and balance in the final wine. The style leans toward bold New World fruit supported by Old World structure, reflecting both Stellenbosch terroir and a meticulous winemaking approach. Colour: Deep crimson with a dense, almost opaque core. Nose: Concentrated aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and dark cherry, layered with cedar, cigar box, cocoa, and subtle herbal notes. Hints of vanilla and spice from oak ageing add depth. Palate: Full-bodied and structured, with firm, well-integrated tannins. Dark fruit leads, supported by notes of graphite, tobacco, and spice.
