Nose:
A lively bouquet of ripe plum and mulberry is lifted by notes of juicy raspberry jam, bright spice and a characteristic whisper of cocoa-powder-like complexity that hints at the varietal’s Portuguese lineage.
Palate:
Medium-bodied and aromatic, the palate delivers red and dark fruit core flavours - plum, bramble and raspberry - supported by soft, supple tannins and lightly savoury spice. The oak-ageing adds gentle warmth and complexity without overshadowing the fruit.
