Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the farm L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert, who passed away in 2001, the farm was taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003. The Anthonij Rupert Syrah / Shiraz 2019 displays delicate hints of lavender that add interest to the nose which boasts poached plum, spice, dried herbs and polished oak. The mouth is rich and rounded with beautiful velvety smooth texture. All of which serves as a backdrop to the flavours of black fruits, plum compote, baking spices and herbs. A light sprinkling of pepper and fynbos adds vibrance while the oak is seamlessly meshed providing a frame for the whole mouthful of this delicious red wine.
