Duke Merlot 2023 is produced by Wellington Wines, one of the Cape’s long-established producer cellars rooted in the Wellington region of the Western Cape. Colour:
Deep ruby red with youthful purple highlights.

Nose:
Aromatic layers of ripe plum, blackberry and dark cherry are followed by hints of milk chocolate, vanilla, graphite and subtle fresh herbs.

Palate:
Medium-bodied and smooth, with silky tannins supporting flavours of juicy black fruit, ripe plum and roasted coffee bean. The wine carries good freshness through the palate, while restrained oak adds texture and gentle spice without dominating the fruit.

Finish:
Soft and rounded on the finish, with lingering dark berry fruit, savoury notes and a touch of cocoa.
