The Dreyer family, led by Piet and his son winemaker Josef, pursues a hands-on approach that honours this unique terroir: low yields, careful hand-harvesting and thoughtful vinification translate the site’s wind-tossed slopes and cool coastal influence into wines that are clear-fruited, structured and approachable. Unlike larger, more commercial operations, Raka combines traditional craftsmanship with a respect for nature and a sense of place in every bottle.

Nose:
Inviting aromas of juicy plum and blackberry with hints of cassis and a gentle undercurrent of vanilla and smoke from oak maturation.
Palate:
The palate delivers ripe dark fruit flavours - plum, blackberry and bramble - supported by supple tannins and medium acidity. Oak integration is subtle, lending soft spice and tobacco-like notes without overwhelming the varietal fruit.
