Ernst Gouws & Co is a family-driven producer rooted in the winemaking traditions of Stellenbosch, with history stretching back through generations of craft and passion. The “The 19th” range takes its name from the convivial golf tradition of finishing a round at the “nineteenth hole,” embodying wines meant to be enjoyed among friends.
The Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend reflects this ethos: ripe fruit characters from Cabernet are softened and enriched by a touch of Merlot. Grapes are selected to deliver easy drinkability and balance, without heavy oak or excessive extraction. It’s a wine that sits comfortably in everyday settings yet carries enough nuance to reflect Stellenbosch’s fruit-driven heritage and approachable style.
