Lucky Finds Wines is a curated, exclusive label range created through a partnership between Karoo Wine Club, Tamasa Fine Wine Merchants and Algoa FM. The project works with leading South African wineries to source limited-batch wines made specifically for direct-to-consumer release, focusing on character, value and individuality. Lucky Finds Sense of Soil Syrah 2023 reflects that philosophy through a focused expression of Syrah from the Western Cape. The region's warm days, cooling ocean influences and diverse soils create ideal conditions for the variety, helping develop ripe fruit, savoury spice and balanced structure. By partnering with established producers, Lucky Finds is able to offer wines with regional authenticity and small-lot appeal. Colour: Deep ruby with youthful purple edges and bright clarity. Nose: Blackberry, plum and black cherry lead the aromatics, followed by cracked black pepper, dried herbs and a gentle smoky nuance. Palate: Medium to full-bodied with ripe dark berry fruit at the core. Fine tannins provide shape without aggression, while fresh acidity keeps the palate lively and balanced. Peppery spice and subtle earthy notes add depth through the mid-palate. Finish: Smooth and lingering, with notes of black fruit, savoury spice and soft earthiness.
