The estate's vineyards benefit from a unique combination of decomposed granite soils, elevation and cooling maritime influences from both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. These conditions allow grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, producing wines with concentration, freshness and balance. The Chameleon range was created to offer approachable, fruit-forward expressions of classic varieties while maintaining the quality and attention to detail for which Jordan is known. The Jordan Chameleon Merlot 2024 captures the softer, more accessible side of Stellenbosch Merlot, showcasing ripe fruit, gentle structure and everyday drinkability. Colour: Bright ruby red with youthful crimson highlights. Nose: Expressive aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and mulberry are layered with subtle notes of cocoa, cedar and sweet spice. Palate: Medium-bodied and supple, with flavours of dark berries, plum and blackcurrant at the forefront. The tannins are soft and rounded, giving the wine a smooth texture, while fresh acidity keeps the palate lively and balanced. Gentle oak influence adds depth without overwhelming the fruit. Finish: Clean and persistent, with lingering dark fruit and delicate spice notes.
