Saxenburg Wine Estate is one of Stellenbosch’s long-established producers, with roots dating back to the late 17th century. Situated in the Polkadraai Hills, the vineyards benefit from elevated sites, decomposed granite soils and cooling maritime influence from nearby False Bay. These conditions are particularly well suited to Sauvignon Blanc, helping preserve aromatic lift, crisp acidity and mineral detail while allowing generous fruit ripeness. The Private Collection range represents Saxenburg’s more premium tier, combining careful vineyard selection with polished modern winemaking.
