Holden Manz Visionaire 2020
Holden Manz is a renowned family-owned wine estate situated in the heart of the picturesque Franschhoek Valley. Established in 2010 by owners Gerard Holden and Migo Manz, the estate is dedicated to crafting premium, terroir-driven wines. The Holden Manz Visionaire 2020 is a sophisticated red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah/Shiraz and Cabernet Franc. Showing a deep garnet with a vibrant red rim, the nose offers a complex and enticing bouquet filled with red and black berry aromas, beautifully layered with subtle hints of pencil shavings, graphite, black pepper and a touch of biltong. Herbaceous nuances add freshness and depth. The palate is smooth, elegant and focused, displaying mid-palate ripeness and a supple, spicy finish. Flavours of red and black fruits dominate, supported by a refined graphite edge. The soft, polished tannins round off the wine’s expressive spice and juicy plum notes, creating a savoury, multi-layered experience with exceptional finesse.
- Food Pairing : Pair with rosemary roasted Karoo lamb chops or a fine 30 day plus air dried fillet steak with a pepper sauce. This wine is complex – keep the food simple to enjoy in its natural goodness.
