Kumusha Wines was founded by acclaimed sommelier and wine entrepreneur Tinashe Nyamudoka. The name "Kumusha" means "home" in Shona, reflecting a philosophy centred on heritage, community and a sense of belonging. Sourcing fruit from carefully selected vineyards across the Western Cape, Kumusha focuses on producing wines that are expressive, approachable and true to their origins. The Flame Lily, named after Zimbabwe's national flower, brings together complementary grape varieties to create a fresh, textured white blend. The wine reflects a modern Cape winemaking approach, balancing vibrant fruit expression with natural freshness and drinkability.
Colour: Pale straw with subtle green highlights, showing youthful freshness and clarity.
Nose: Delicate aromas of white flowers, pear and lemon peel are supported by notes of chamomile, apricot and a gentle citrus lift.
Palate: Fresh and vibrant, with flavours of ripe pear, stone fruit and citrus. The Chenin Blanc provides texture and generosity, while Sauvignon Blanc contributes brightness and lift. Verdelho and Semillon add subtle complexity and a rounded mouthfeel, resulting in a wine that is energetic without feeling sharp.
Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering citrus, floral notes and a gentle mineral edge.
