Jordan Dry Rosé 2025
Jordan Wine Estate lies in the Stellenbosch Kloof, where cooling breezes from False Bay temper the warm Stellenbosch climate. This unique setting allows grapes to ripen gradually, retaining freshness while developing expressive fruit flavours. Owned by Gary and Kathy Jordan, the estate is renowned for matching each grape variety to the most suitable vineyard site, drawing on a detailed understanding of the property's soils, slopes and microclimates. The Jordan Dry Rosé 2025 reflects this thoughtful approach. Crafted from Syrah and Merlot grapes grown on carefully selected vineyard blocks, the wine is made in a dry, modern style that prioritises purity of fruit, freshness and drinkability. The result is a rosé that captures both the energy of the vintage and the character of its Stellenbosch origins.
Colour: Pale salmon pink with brilliant clarity and youthful brightness.
Nose: Fresh strawberries and raspberries lead the aromatics, followed by watermelon, rose petals and subtle hints of pomegranate and citrus zest.
Palate: Light-bodied yet flavourful, with vibrant red berry fruit at its core. Strawberry, red cherry and watermelon notes are complemented by crisp acidity that keeps the wine lively and refreshing. The dry style allows the fruit to remain focused and clean without any sweetness dominating the palate.
Finish: Crisp and refreshing, with lingering red berry flavours and a delicate citrus note that invites another sip.
- Food Pairing : The Jordan Dry Rosé 2025 is a versatile food wine that works particularly well with summer-inspired dishes. Try it alongside grilled prawns, sushi, chicken salads, Mediterranean mezze or a lightly spiced Cape Malay chicken dish. The wine's bright acidity and dry finish complement fresh ingredients beautifully, while its red berry fruit character adds enough flavour to stand up to richer seafood and poultry dishes without overwhelming them. Its refreshing style also makes it an excellent choice for outdoor lunches, braais and relaxed entertaining.
