Zevenwacht Wine Estate is situated on the rolling hills overlooking False Bay in Stellenbosch, where elevated vineyards and maritime influence help create wines with freshness and structure. The estate has developed a strong reputation for producing classically styled wines that combine generous Cape fruit with elegance and restraint.

The Z Collection represents Zevenwacht’s more premium tier, focusing on vineyard expression and careful cellar work. The Chenin Blanc vineyards benefit from decomposed granite soils and cooling breezes that slow ripening and preserve acidity, allowing the fruit to develop flavour concentration without losing energy.

Winemaking is deliberately measured, with portions of the wine fermented and matured on the lees to add texture and complexity while maintaining Chenin Blanc’s naturally vibrant character. The result is a Stellenbosch Chenin that balances ripe fruit, freshness and subtle richness in a polished, food-friendly style.

Bright straw gold with pale green reflections.

Nose:
Aromas of ripe pear, white peach and pineapple lead the nose, followed by citrus blossom, honey and gentle hints of toasted almond and spice.

Palate:
Medium-bodied and textured, showing layers of stone fruit, baked apple and citrus balanced by lively acidity. The lees influence adds a subtle creaminess through the mid-palate, while the fruit remains fresh and focused rather than overly rich.

Finish:
Long and clean, with lingering notes of lime zest, peach skin and soft spice.
