Waterford Estate is situated in the Blaauwklippen Valley on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, one of South Africa’s most respected regions for structured, age-worthy red wines. Cooling ocean influence from nearby False Bay tempers the warm climate, helping fruit ripen fully while retaining freshness and detail. The Kevin Arnold range honours family legacy and has long been regarded as one of the Cape’s notable Shiraz labels. Crafted under the guidance of winemaker Mark le Roux, the wine reflects Waterford’s philosophy of elegance, site expression and measured oak influence rather than sheer power.

Nose:
A captivating nose of smoky chorizo, perfumed violets and ripe red and black fruit, followed by hints of cracked pepper, savoury spice and subtle mineral notes.
Palate:
Smooth and richly layered, with velvety tannins coating the palate. Juicy blackberry and red plum fruit are balanced by bright acidity, while savoury undertones and restrained oak add depth and structure.
Finish:
Long, linear and poised, finishing on dark fruit, spice and a fine mineral edge.
