Warwick Estate, situated on the slopes of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, is one of the Cape’s most established names, with a legacy dating back to the 1960s. The estate rose to prominence under Norma Ratcliffe, one of South Africa’s pioneering female winemakers, and remains known for producing wines that balance structure with approachability.
The White Lady Chardonnay is crafted from multiple carefully selected vineyard sites across Stellenbosch, including cooler Helderberg slopes for freshness and warmer Simonsberg parcels for texture. Each site is harvested separately at different ripeness levels, allowing the final blend to capture both vibrancy and depth.
The winemaking leans toward a modern, layered style - incorporating oak for structure and complexity, while maintaining clarity of fruit. It’s a Chardonnay that reflects both site diversity and thoughtful cellar work, rather than a single-note expression.

Ripe citrus, peach and apricot lead, followed by toasted nuts, vanilla spice and a subtle brioche note.
Palate:
Fuller-bodied with a creamy, textured mouthfeel. Layers of yellow apple, stone fruit and citrus unfold alongside well-integrated oak, adding notes of almond and light spice. The acidity keeps the wine focused despite its richness.
