Strandveld Vineyards is Africa’s southernmost winery, perched just kilometres from the tumultuous meeting of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans at Cape Agulhas. The estate thrives in a cool, wind-swept maritime climate where mineral-rich, shallow soils and fierce breezes shape low yields and intensely flavoured grapes. Winemaker Conrad Vlok crafts wines that capture this distinctive terroir with clarity and nuance, favouring natural expression over unnecessary manipulation. The Adamastor 2022 - named after the mythic Titan of wind and storms encountered by early sailors - embodies the rugged spirit and coastal freshness of its birthplace.

Nose: Subtle aromas of beeswax, honey blossom and guava mingle with gooseberry and dried fig, lifted by cool-climate freshness.
Palate: Medium-bodied yet layered, showing citrus and stone fruit depth framed by creamy Semillon texture and lively acidity. A gentle saline note and chalky minerality reflect its maritime origins.
Finish: Clean and chalk-dry with lingering citrus zest and a hint of sea spray that invites another sip.
